ABOUT RANI-F® (Famotidine 20 mg)
What Is RANI-F®
RANI-F® is used to relief heartburn.
When to Use
- Recommended to use when needed to control heart burn symptoms.
- Can be taken to control heartburn (1 sachet at a time).
Dosage
For relief heartburn symptoms:
- The dose is one sachet (20 mg famotidine) at a time
- The patient shouldn’t take more than 2 sachets (40 mg famotidine) per day
- Therapy should not exceed two weeks of continues treatment without medical consultation.
Warnings
Read the enclosed leaflet before use. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

Indications:
- Relief of heartburn in adults 18 years and older.
- Dosage: For relief of heartburn.
- The recommended dose is one 20 mg sachet of famotidine. The patient should not take more than one sachet at a time, and no more than two sachets (40 mg) in any 24-hour period. The duration of treatment should not exceed two weeks of continuous use without medical consultation.
- Contraindications: Do not take this medication in the following cases:
- Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the components of this medicine.
- Famotidine should not be taken by patients with a history of hypersensitivity to other histamine-2 receptor antagonists.
- Special Warnings and Precautions for Use:
- Renal insufficiency
- Since famotidine is primarily filtered by the kidneys, caution should be exercised when treating patients with impaired renal function. The daily dose should be reduced to 20 mg if creatinine clearance falls below 10 ml/min.
- Children:
- The safety and effectiveness of famotidine in children have not been established.
- Use in the Elderly:
- When administering famotidine to patients In clinical trials, no increased incidence or change in the type of side effects was observed in elderly patients. Dose adjustment based solely on age is not necessary.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
- Pregnancy:
- If you are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant, you should not take Ranitidine unless your doctor believes the benefits outweigh the risks.
- Breastfeeding:
- If you are breastfeeding, you should either stop taking Ranitidine or stop breastfeeding because the medicine is excreted in breast milk.
- Driving and Using Machines:
- Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience dizziness or headaches while taking famotidine.
- Side Effects:
- Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people): Headache, dizziness, constipation, diarrhea
